A trip to the Lamborghini Factory Museum is a bit overwhelming. There is so much sex on wheels in one small area that it is hard to pay attention to anything else. But for those few who occasionally look at the wall, the rewards are hilarious.

Lamborghini has five promotional signs that are found no other place than their museum. These are artful pictures of everyday life in a sleepy Italian town that lives with one of the world’s most exciting carmakers. These glimpses into a slightly altered view of small town living are all tied under the one unifying theme, “Welcome to Sant’Agata Bolognese. Home of Lamborghini.”

Quick, clever, and utterly amusing.

These homegrown ads need little explanation. They simply and unashamedly show that their life is almost like yours, except supercars are part of the normal. It creates jealousy without bring ego into the equation, which is the best kind of cool.

Even if Lamborghini is showing how casual life can be with vertically opening home gates or a Murciélago replacing a little girl’s doll, they are really just showing off for the tourists. After all, these pictures hanging in the heart of Italy have all their text written in English.

Throughout France there is a hotel chain that is using a famous motoring name to lure in guests. Enzo Hotels may be unashamedly borrowing the name of the Ferrari founder, but there will be no prancing horses parked outside this bright red efficiency chain of lodging.

Those “lucky” enough to stay in purpose-built Enzo Hotel will usually find some interesting machinery in public areas. For example the one in Mulhouse has half a Porsche Boxster attached to the wall of the breakfast area, the hotel in Vierzon has most of a Ferrari F355 body in the lobby, and there is a whole Mondial taking up space in the cafe at one of the hotels outside of Paris.

We cannot confirm if the cars in the hotel are real or a replica. An empty shell of disabled versions of the cars on display cost about as much as a new display lookalike. On the other hand, it is a safe bet the Renault 3 hanging above the breakfast buffet at the Thionville hotel is real.

An Enzo Hotel has the feel and price of a Motel 6, but with car parts screwed to the walls. While some displays like the silver-panted tire wall can pass for interesting art, other automotive arrangements seem to have little more thought behind them than a trip to the junkyard.

One of the most alarming public displays are the metal baskets full of car parts that hang from the ceiling. Steering wheels and springs seem to fit fine in these mesh metal cradles, but no one should spend too much time under the ones that suspend heavier pieces like mufflers and intake manifolds.

The rooms in a Enzo Hotel are much more common. Aside from a few racecar pictures on the wall and a car-shaped stress ball in the bathroom (no explanation can be found for this,) the individual accommodations feel like an Econo Lodge.

Enzo Hotels is not the largest or the first hotel chain to have this idea. Throughout Europe as well as a few other location across the world there is a hotel chain called Formule 1. These F1 hotels dress up their ultra-cheap diggs with a few racing car parts and checkered flags. If given the choice of on-budget automotive themed accommodations, t is good to know that Enzo Hotels tend to offer a few more amenities (like an in-room toilet.)
