We usually reach a little further back for RetroVision, but will make an exception for The Wraith. This 1986 flick is about a spirit sent to punish evil by taking down a motorhead gang one-by-one. Of course, there is only one way to eliminate a twisted car club: drag racing.
The Wraith is Charlie Sheen and Randy Quaid at their pre-crazy finest. Oh yeah, and it wouldn’t be a b-movie without an appearance by Clint Howard. All this is really just an excuse to do some Mad Max style racing out in the badlands…in this case, Arizona:

The cool mystical car is really the star of this one. Chrysler let the production team borrow the Dodge MS4 concept car to create a one-off Wraithmobile.
Other than the MS4 concept, this movie is just one big 1980s cliché. The soundtrack and the bad editing could be recycled into a some sort of rival ski school movie or dork goes to the prom saga…Enjoy!
