Not often do we get to peek behind the curtain to learn the wizard’s tricks. But now we get to see the cloak and dagger training that the CIA gives agents to follow targets. Of course, the fact that this film came from the National Archives and not passed along by some shadowy trench coat in a parking garage means the CIA has likely updated its tactics over the last four decades:
Although the film is clearly labeled by the CIA, the all-British cast pursuing through the streets of London leads us to believe this was made by the agency’s cousins at MI5. So it is the Brits we can give credit for mixing in the Theme from Shaft.
